• Someone runs this site?

Yes they do! And it has a name. In fact, it's not even an it, its a she! Ok. I'll give you a moment to process that information.

Ok, so it's, excuse me, her name is Athena, she is a freshman putting her around 14 years of age. What, you want to know even more about her, what are you, a stalker? *shesh* fine.

She likes books, a lot. I mean she's gotta have 100s of the things stacked around her room, her bookshelf has long since been filled so the floor has taken over as their place of residence.

Music is another of her interests, her voice could make your ears bleed but she can play the piano decently and greatly enjoys it. Her music collection is even more extensive than her books. In this new fangled world of technology we have these days she has very few actually CDs but via itunes her collection is quite extensive. Mostly centering around who knows what, how many times do you find Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, and The Killers in one itunes library? Let along Adele, Duffy, and Wolfmother. Yes, eclectic at the least.

Some other loves of hers are sewing (she has a love hate relationship with a sewing machine from the 70s) sketching and Matthew Gray Gubler.

Ok, this is getting a wee bit on the long side.. But hell, it's her site, why should she stop there huh? HUH? Ok so wanna know more about this maverick of a girl? Click the pretty little about link to your left and read your little heart out.

Abelinda started out as a free webs in early May and got it's own domain in June 10, 2007 though I started working on it that January.

Oh, so you want more than a few mega cool links and a few dates. In a nutshell, you cant fit a good description of this site in a nutshell.

Most of what's on here are the blog and ramblings of a dorky teenager, plus a few tutorials, a bit of fanfic, and some completely useless tutorials. So, enjoy!

    Revampifulness

Edit: Ok so I have been informed by one of my hostees that they no longer want to be hosted so if I emailed you that I cannot host you and have ran out of room please email me if you still want to be hosted. If nobody emails me in the next week or two I will open up the applications again.

The revamp is going pretty good.. I have reorganized the way the pages are and I am working on updating the site content page and reorganizing it.. My todo list is lengthy so I have no clue how long this will take. I wish I could say that it would be done in a week or two but I doubt it will..

So my last post was extremely long and I am going to try to match my length lol.

Vacation has been good the first day we got here I was pretty much dead. I just sat and slept a little. (red eyes will do that to you..) The next day we went to Macy’s after xmas sale. It was crazy, I did get a new coat though and my first coach bag! The coat is blue and grey and black and it’s about knee length. I am seriously in love with it! It’s perfect and it’s DKNY which I have no problem with lol. The purse is little and black and it has this wide silver sparkly band around it. It’s really nice though because it’s coach but it doesn’t scream coach at you. It has the little Cs on it but they’re really discreet. The next day we staid in Queens and went to Century 21. I really could live there!!! I got two juicy swim suits. One was a blue one piece with white polka dots. It’s really nice to find a one piece that isn’t grannyish.. I also got another juicy swim suit and a brown coverup. Then I got a pair of orange pajama pants and a white pajama top. Plus a new blue scarf that matches my new coat and a green DKNY skirt and a black BCBG dress. The dress is really pretty and it should fit for a while (it’s stretchy and a little to big but it was 50% off so who cares!). That was about the extent of my shopping..

The nutcracker was amazing.. The set for the second act was beautiful it looked like a giant doily. The dancing was great but the female ballerinas were no better than the ones in the version I normally see. Clara was really young though she couldn’t have been older than 10.

Yesterday we went to some museum my mom wanted to see and just walked around. We had dinner at this really good italian place in the village. A bunch of my relatives came too I think there where 17 of us. We took up like half the place.

I got The Sweet Far Thing the day it came out (the 26th) and I am only on page 435. It’s really good but it’s moving really slowly. I am kind of disapointed that Kartik isn’t in it more. I am a little over half way done (and by a little I mean like 27 pages..) the book is about 820 pages long which is about twice the length of the first.. I am also reading The A-List which is pretty good.. I am only like 40 pages into it but it’s pretty good.. I like the writing style a lot better than The Clique or Gossip Girl.

One book I would recomend to most anybody is The Queen’s Soprano. It’s really good.. I’m almost done with it and I am really liking it.

Well I should probebly go back to my revamping.. Sadly this post hasn’t matched the last one in length but oh well..

    ~Athena the book worm..

Hip Hip Hooray I’m going on an airplane today!

Edit: Heyy Ok Sorry to edit twice, I would write again but I just wrote this yesterdays so yeah.. I am in NY right now our flight was fine.. I am going shopping and to the nutcracker tomorrow (yippy!) Hopefully I can get a new winter coat. So the reason why I am editing is to tell you that I will be revamping the site. All of the content and the site in general will be pretty messed up for the next three to four weeks. I will try to give you all a final date soon.. I just need to reorganize the content and do some validation. I also need to fix up the content and just yeah work on stuff.. A new layout is being worked on but the site will look pretty messed up for a while.. I will try to keep blogging.

Edit: I am editing this from the airport at 11:17 PM! Ok.. So I ran out of FTP accounts and I can’t host anybody else.. I am so sorry and I will see if I can upgrade me hosting or at least get more accounts or find an alternative. I can’t switch hosts (and I wouldn’t want to) because 1&1 would keep my domain but oh well I’ll just figure something out..

I also am sad to report that after today I will no longer be able to use illustrator *tear tear* I wish I could say my parents would get if for me but I would be lying.. I am in the middle of two vectors which will remain as a lingering reminder of the beautiful Adobe Illustrator *Cue funeral music please :P*

Wow I just heard and airplane pass overhead and by overhead I mean 50 feet from here haha. Well I g2g check my email before we board the plane and I have to turn my laptop off.. Oh crap we’re boarding already well scratch checking my email :P and once again fare well sweet adobe illustrator…

So at 11:55 PM tonight (xmas eve) I will be getting on an airplane, how cool is that?!! I am super excited to go to New York. I will be bring Fred and I will try to blog a few times but I wont have wifi so it may not be to many times.. Also I will try to take tons of pictures for you guys.. I will be coming home new years Eve.. (What’s with my parents and their tickets..)

Gah.. I still haven’t started packing and I still need to run by the store to get a new pair of headphones and some new books.

Life has been pretty dull lately (except for the whole NY thing.) I gave a presentation on HTML in class and I think 2 people out of 30 understood what I was talking about.

I am so proud of myself I can finally do the train step in tap. Go me! lol.. It’s not very hard once you get the hang of it but we have to go really fast in our dance. :P

I am reading The Luxe and Hero right now.. I am not all that into either even though I’m almost done with both. They just keep dragging on and on and on.. The Luxe isn’t very well written and it’s near identical to Gossip Girl it’s just set in NYC 1899 which adds a little interest but a lot of the time they talk like they’re from present day. Hero is ok but it just keeps dragging on and on. I would recommend it to a lot of people though..

A Sweet Far Thing comes out in 2 days (December 26) ohmigawd I am so excited.. I’m going to have to make my parents take me to barns and noble in NY lol..

While we are there (in NY) my shopping list looks something like this:

New wool coat (mine is waaay to small it’s not even funny :()
Two new pairs of jeans (One of my pairs is stained with paint and one is way to small)
One new skirt (I have no cute winter skirts..)
Two-Three new pairs of shoes (My shoe wardrobe is dwindling)
    Two-Three new shirts
A new school bag (Mine is too small and hopefully I can find something nice and Century 21)
Some new make up (probebly some lipstick and lipgloss and eye shadow. Ooh and I’ve been wanting some liquid navy blue eyeliner of all things..)
    One-Two new pairs of earings

I think that should keep my new outfits coming until March (I hope!) I know that seems like a lot but I haven’t gone shopping since forever ago lol..

Well TTFN I gotta go pack!

    ~Athena

    PS. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
