• Someone runs this site?

Yes they do! And it has a name. In fact, it's not even an it, its a she! Ok. I'll give you a moment to process that information.

Ok, so it's, excuse me, her name is Athena, she is a freshman putting her around 14 years of age. What, you want to know even more about her, what are you, a stalker? *shesh* fine.

She likes books, a lot. I mean she's gotta have 100s of the things stacked around her room, her bookshelf has long since been filled so the floor has taken over as their place of residence.

Music is another of her interests, her voice could make your ears bleed but she can play the piano decently and greatly enjoys it. Her music collection is even more extensive than her books. In this new fangled world of technology we have these days she has very few actually CDs but via itunes her collection is quite extensive. Mostly centering around who knows what, how many times do you find Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, and The Killers in one itunes library? Let along Adele, Duffy, and Wolfmother. Yes, eclectic at the least.

Some other loves of hers are sewing (she has a love hate relationship with a sewing machine from the 70s) sketching and Matthew Gray Gubler.

Ok, this is getting a wee bit on the long side.. But hell, it's her site, why should she stop there huh? HUH? Ok so wanna know more about this maverick of a girl? Click the pretty little about link to your left and read your little heart out.

Abelinda.net is proudly hosted by 1&1

Abelinda started out as a free webs in early May and got it's own domain in June 10, 2007 though I started working on it that January.

Oh, so you want more than a few mega cool links and a few dates. In a nutshell, you cant fit a good description of this site in a nutshell.

Most of what's on here are the blog and ramblings of a dorky teenager, plus a few tutorials, a bit of fanfic, and some completely useless tutorials. So, enjoy!

    Queen of the anti socialites..

Listening to: Don’t Leave Home - Dido

Sorry to leave you hanging there. I went to the Bat Mitzvah overall it was ok. The service was nice but I felt socially retarded. I didn’t know anybody there! I’m not really anti social but it was so weird they all knew each other and had all their cliques established and then there was me. When it came time for the party I was having a good time until a group of girls started freak dancing. These people are like 13! I know some people may call me conservative but really I don’t think it’s very cool to be freak dancing with a bunch of kids you just met. Anyways I just sat on the windowsill and admired the view. It was on the 17th floor of this huge building so I had a really nice view. I only had one conversation and that was with this guy who talked to me for like 30 seconds. So overall it was just ok.

Now on the positive note I did get to go in one of the world’s largest Nordstrom’s! I got a ton of MAC makeup and there was this one really pretty bag that I looked for the price tag on for like 5 minutes until my mom informed me that it didn’t have one. Apparently if you can afford it you know and you just pay for it. My grandma told me later that none of the stuff in the Prada store in NYC has price tags.

For your daily dose of drama:

I am throwing a pity party. I do have a reason though so here it is:

At my school 7th grade is the year of the bar and bat mitzvah, you are required to invite every one in your class. There was this boy, Alex, who I sat next to most of the year. I helped him on his math work and we sat together at lunch… Yeah I would consider us friends. So I get an IM from this other girl in my class, Ellena, asking me what I’m going to wear to his Bar Mitzvah on the 25th. I was pretty embarrassed to have to inform her that he didn’t invite me. I had asked my BF (best friend) Kat, when it was before now because our mailman isn’t really the brightest guy/gal on the planet and we don’t always get things quite on time. (Nothing against mail men/women.) She told me oh I don’t know. You have to send out invitations months in advanced for this kind of stuff and I asked her about a week ago.

Sorry for the ranting but really I think this is a good reason for a pity party. So everybody come on join the party cause we have cupcakes and punch.

    Anyways, I felt pretty annoyed/sad/wallowing in self-pity.

I am trying to come up with some more ideas for some content for the site so please tell me what you think I should add in your comment!

McKenna: I think I may try proactive. It’s not that bad but still I think it may be worth the try.

My skin is no longer flakey but it is still rather zitty.
